Great hidden gem! ... I headed to Little India and found that because of Chinese New Year all the hostels were full, but at the Prince of Wales there they told me about their new place in Boat Quay so I went to stay there instead, and I'm so glad I did! It was closer to Chinatown ...

Description - Hostel

The PRINCE OF WALES is now in TWO LOCATIONS - the heart of LITTLE INDIA and our new outlet, close to the Civic Quarter and right on the riverside at BOAT QUAY. You are currently on the Boat Quay booking page - for Little India please search simply for 'Prince of Wales'.

The PRINCE OF WALES hostels are proud to be the first and only hostels in Singapore to use CERTIFIED ANTI-BEDBUG MATTRESSES, 7. 5 inch thickness of comfort with a 10-year guarantee... so you can be sure of a good sleep (when you're not partying, of course!).

The PRINCE OF WALES pubs are modeled on the many Australian corner pubs/hotels that provide punters with live music, a variety of cold draught beer, inexpensive accommodation and a casual atmosphere. A subtle Australian feel is brought to both pubs through its sunburnt colours, corrugated iron, weatherboard, and red gum timber.

Australian draught beer from the Grand Ridge Brewery (GIPPSLAND GOLD, BREWERS PILSENER and the new NATURAL BLONDE) in Gippsland Victoria is shipped in to compliment the other international draught and bottled beers on offer... with special discounts on certain brands for hostel guests! As for food, PoW is proud to have THE MEXICAN TACO BAR in-house at Boat Quay, with BERG'S BURGERS on site at Little India - both of which also offer discounts for guests of either hostel!
